As we announced at the presentation, we are opening two 1-year contracts: 1 in our medical affairs team and the other in our Market access team. You will find attached the 2 job descriptions for these roles, as well as a short explanation hereunder of the 2 departments.
Market Access Associate:
In the development of new medicinal products, when the pivotal clinical trials have been conducted and marketing authorization has been obtained from the European Medicines Agency, the final key step before entering the market is to obtain optimal pricing and reimbursement conditions. For this project, during 12 months, the Market Access Associate will be part of the Market Access team of AstraZeneca Belux. ‘Market Access’ is an overarching term to define everything that involves pricing and reimbursement for both new as well as existing (and already reimbursed) medicinal products.
The Market Access Associate, in close collaboration and under supervision of an experienced Market Access Manager, will be able to contribute to the preparations of a new reimbursement dossier that will be submitted to the authorities during the course of the project and to the follow-up of the entire reimbursement procedure.

Medical Affairs Associate:
AstraZeneca is pushing the boundaries of science in order to deliver live-saving breakthrough medicines that will improve patients’ lives. In that endeavour, Medical Affairs is a key strategic partner in shaping the optimal performance of the AstraZeneca brands.
The field of Medical Affairs provides scientific support for late stage development and post market support for drugs, biologics and devices. Medical affairs usually functions alongside marketing, to provide scientific support to both internal teams and external customers.
The Medical Affairs Associate is responsible for building scientific partnerships with Key External Experts (KEE) and other healthcare professionals through providing high quality up-to-date scientific and medical information to customers. They work in strong collaboration with the Medical Affairs Lead (line manager) and the Medical Affairs Manager of the therapeutic area (TA).
